Quick Idea: 4 Footlong Italian Parmesan Meatball Subs for $5.00

If you are looking for a inexpensive idea for dinner you can make 4 subs for $5.00 instead of paying $5 per Footlong which would equal $20 for 4 subs. That’s appealing to me!

Granted this will require skills to make your own bread but don’t worry I have a good tutorial that will help you along. It’s a easy recipe. Click here for Italian Bread at Home recipe.

My Italian bread recipe makes one large loaf for under $1.00. You divide the dough into 4 even pieces and you will get 4 12inch loafs.

To make the bread extra special I top dough with Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning before baking. This way I have the Italian Parmesan Bread sub.

Next buy a bag of frozen meatballs. I bought one large bag it cost $5.00 however I only use half the bag, so that equals $2.50 for the meatballs.

Next I buy a can of Tomato Sauce. It’s over next to the prepared Tomato Jar sauce. I don’t know why I would buy the jar over the can. One day I only had $4 and I needed a meal for dinner simply it was noodles with sauce. The can cost under $1.00 at Walmart vs $2.00 for a jar.

Parmesan cheese now I buy this for $4.00 but it last me forever so my actual usage with in this meal is not much.

Bread $1.00
Sauce $1.00
Meatballs $2.50
Cheese $.50
Total $5.00
